PROJECT 1	Neighborhood & Individual Effects on Stage at Diagnosis
Exploring the relationship between patients' social environment and access to early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. PI: Richard Warnecke, Ph.D.

PROJECT 2	Social Network Effects on Breast Cancer Patients
Looking at the influence of social networks on patients' use of services, breast cancer screening behaviors, and response to symptoms. PI: Yoosik Youm, Ph.D.

PROJECT 3	Breast Cancer & Delay in African-American, Hispanic/Latina, & White Women
Examining a number of factors that may contribute to delay in seeking help, including individual, social, and economic factors, as well as individual beliefs. PI: Carol Ferrans, Ph.D.

PROJECT 4	Health Care Access & Breast Cancer Outcomes by Race/Ethnicity
Exploring how a number of factors contribute to breast cancer prognosis, including how breast cancer is discovered, the time between discovery and contact with the health care system and the beginning of treatment, and the type of treatment that is offered and received. PI: Garth Rauscher, Ph.D.
